Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I hope this newsletter finds you all well and blessed in your service to the Most High God.

On a personal note, I am very pleased to announce the birth of my second child, Hannah Sophia McNabb. She was born into this world, a healthy and happy child, on Sept. 3, 1999. My wife, Lyudmila, and I are thankful to God that He has seen fit to entrust into our care another one of His children, and we intend to raise her, and her older brother, Jason, to know and love their Father: the Almighty God.

Now begins the rainy season, and, whereas my lawn had become brown from too much sun and too little rain, it has been refreshed with the recent downpours. Likewise, we are at the threshold of a great torrential downpour of blessings, which will flood our souls and refresh our spirits. This great revival must come, when believers will be set afire for God.

Christianity, in general, has drifted far from its original course. Instead of preaching against sin and warning the sinful of the flames of hell, a compromise has been reached and complacency has taken hold. A new breed of "tolerant" Christians has sprung up in churches around the globe, which take great pride in their ability to "forgive" and overlook sin.

This syndrome can be found in one of the early church congregations at Corinth. Paul wrote to them about a condition that had developed there, where one of their member’s sin (particularly the sin of fornication) was not only overlooked (tolerated), but they had been puffed up with pride that they could be so magnanimous. Paul rebuked them for their behavior and commanded that they take action against that man, "that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus."

Even so, God is winking at the times of our ignorance, "but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent." The words of God in 2 Chron. 7:14 are still true today, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." It is time for all believers to get serious about living for God, and doing His will. God is ready to bless His people like never before, and He will draw nigh unto us … when we draw nigh unto Him.

Once again, we will be celebrating the Feast of Ingathering, September 23-26. We expect to be edified by God’s word and to be refreshed in His Spirit. As usual, there will be a variety of speakers and special singing throughout the weekend. On Thursday, we will be visited by Slavic Pentecostal Church’s pastor, Bro. Petr Novik, and their choir. I trust that they will be a blessing.

I hope to see you there too, as we will lift Him up in praise and glorify His name. I have found that God honors His feast-days, and I am expecting Him to move in a mighty way during this celebration. God bless you all.
