SPECIAL 1st ANNIVERSARY ISSUE!

From the Editor

One year ago this month, we printed the very first issue of The Bible Guys. Since then, many wonderful things have happened, and I have seen God’s blessings throughout this endeavor.

God has richly blessed our discussions, and has increased our understanding of His holy scripture. The Bible is full of marvelous truths which God desires to reveal to His servants, and we have set our hearts to meditate on those things and to "speak often one to another" (Mal. 3:16-18).

Since this publication’s inception, many changes have occurred: an increase in both the size and distribution of the newsletter, the publication of a quarterly Albanian edition, and the development of a website, just to name a few.

I am amazed as I watch God work things out, and I am ever thankful to Him that I have learned to depend on Him in all things. The war in Kosovo has resulted in an exodus of ethic-Albanian refugees, some of whom have ended up in our area. The miraculous way that God brought Bro. Pari from Albania to us before that war, allowing us to share the Gospel with some of them now, is just one of the more recent examples of His working things out that we could never have even planed. Some of our worship services, of late, have been in English with simultaneous translation in Albanian. It has been quite an experience, and we are keeping them in our prayers, that they would embrace the truth about Jesus Christ, and receive Him as their Lord and Saviour.

As The Bible Guys celebrates its first anniversary in print, I am pleased to announce that our Russian edition is now under way, thanks to its new editor, Irina Lapik. I hope to print the first issue next month. As with the Albanian edition, the Russian version will be published quarterly. The distribution, however, will be substantially larger, due to vast number of Russian immigrants with whom we have contact. Again, I see the hand of God opening doors.

As to our Website, it now has a "language" option, which currently allows the viewer to choose between English and Albanian. Also, we have added another new section: Today in Prophecy. In this portion of our site, we offer sermons from the True Sayings Series. To date, three sermons are available on the Internet: Antichrist Cometh, Jubilee, and The Beast with Ten Horns. These sermons and others will also be featured in upcoming issues of The Bible Guys.

The Feast of Ingathering is swiftly approaching. We will be observing it September 23-26. Make plans to attend this great celebration.

As you can see, a lot of things are happening, and there is much to be excited about. We know that we are living in the last days, and that there is very little time remaining. We must prepare for the return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He is coming back for a bride without "spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing." Let us seek God and set as our goal to be pleasing to Him.
